Decadently Spicy: How to Manifest Absolutely Anything..

Hello.

Welcome to my joy filled space 🙂

Today it’s a bit spicy, so may you open your heart, feel the magic of the moment and allow for the possibility that you may manifest absolutely anything!!!!

Oh yea!!  Anything..as you will soon read..

Disclaimer: If there is a manifesting scale, I am a ten at manifesting for others, and a five sometimes seven for myself.  Why?  Because I tend to focus on the “how” and if it’s indeed possible..and until I release that I limit my own power.  I need a “proofreader” before submitting my personal requests.  Not kidding..when the experience is over I think wow that was unbelievably awesome, yet not exactly what I meant.

True life example.  I am sharing with you so when you manifest you don’t allow “how” to effect your outcome! Anything truly is possible when you are open to it….My friend, Megan, and I always ask each other what magic shall we create today? Something usually out of the norm..fun challenge.  When you read her story below, this will make sense to you–she is the “Queen of Manifesting”, I’m a lovely “Lady in Waiting”–Megan’s helping me to change that though 🙂  Well, one evening she  asked me what I wished to create.  So I said I was going to make love.  Nice.  Okay, so my potential make love candidate comes over (potential because we’ve been lovers)..good start..and during our visit, he says, “you know you never allow anyone to play your djembe drum”.  And I think how true — that is the most intimate part of me, expressing my heart beats to the Universe..(you see where this is going!)….

Right..So eventually he asks may he play my drum, and I think wow, I don’t know..what a huge step for me..and he plays my drum, and is quite pleased doing so..and I play my drum..and I think this is perhaps the most intimate I’ve been with anyone..in my most personal boat space expressing our heart beats to the Universe..So, Megan later asks did I make love?  And I tell her, I did actually, in a way I never could have thought to ask for 🙂 Quite frankly, my heart speaks the truth, so I laugh at such “re-direction” but when I evaluate each manifesting experience I see Truth and thank the Universe!

That is how manifesting works for me personally. I am rewarded one million times over, just not in the exact way I had thought..Which is why I run my requests by Megan first..and let me share here..those who know Megan will agree she is the “Queen of Manifesting”..

Lucky for us..Megan Bord  is here to share her tips with us in the “Month of Magic”…

How to Manifest Absolutely Anything
by Megan Bord

Joy asked me to write a post about manifesting. She refers to me as the Queen of Manifesting, which is a title I revel in because I always wanted to be royalty. <smile>

What I know about manifesting can be summed up pretty easily, which is good because I like easy.

Before I begin, though, here’s a manifesting story that happened to me a few months ago. It was late August, and I was talking with a friend about the state of my romantic life. I heard myself say something I’d said probably a hundred times before, which was “I’m just waiting for the right guy to come along…” Anyone who knows anything about affirmations or manifesting probably picked up on the red flag in that statement. “I’m just waiting for…” It’s as if a lightbulb went on over my head when I realized that anytime I uttered that phrase, I was affirming and/or manifesting that, if I continued saying it, I would, indeed, keep on waiting…and waiting…and waiting.

Oye!

So I immediately got to work manifesting a new scenario. I began saying instead, “My life is full of the greatest passion and romance imaginable! I have the best love life, with the greatest guy and am having so much fun!” (Notice the present tense, or the now-ness of that revised statement.) I said that for a few days, and then a week before Labor Day Weekend, took it a step further. I blocked off the three-day holiday weekend on my calendar and wrote, “Most Incredible, Passion-Filled, FUN, Romantic, Sexy Weekend Ever with the Most Awesome Guy!!!”

Now, let me back up a bit. I really didn’t have any prospects on the horizon at that time. The one guy who might have fit the bill was out of the country and wouldn’t be home for a few months. I’m also rather shy and have a tough time asking guys out. Not only that, but I don’t go out much! Anyone looking at my situation from the outside would have thought I was crazy, but I knew better.

So on top of blocking off Labor Day Weekend, I started to visualize and feel myself getting excited about an upcoming tryst. I felt positive anticipation and “whoo-hoooooooooooo” energy pulsing through my veins. I saw myself mouthing, “Thank you, Universe!” over and over again, as a smile grew across my face. With every fiber of my being, I felt as if my manifestation had already come true.

The next thing I did was to cast a couple lines in the water because one thing I’ve learned is that I can’t do any manifesting simply sitting on my couch without action. (But remember, I like things easy…) Well two interesting things happened: one is that I  spontaneously decided to go to a concert that Friday night with a buddy of mine, and at that concert, I went ga-ga for one of the band members. Completely uncharacteristic of me and at my buddy’s urging, I said hello to the cute band member after the show and struck up a conversation. Later that night, thanks to Facebook, I found his email address and sent him a message telling him just how dreamy I thought he was. (Egads!) I figured whether or not it led anywhere didn’t matter. I was casting a line into the water.

Now, that same night I also received an email from a different guy who I hadn’t heard from in quite some time. He was someone I met four years prior and on whom I’d had a HUGE crush. Unfortunately, we lived on opposite coasts and the timing was never right so as a result, we’d all but lost touch. However, his email gave me a window of opportunity so once again, rather uncharacteristically, I took action. I sent him a reply and in it, I invited him to spend the weekend with me. Now, the weekend I was referring to was the one before Labor Day Weekend, which would have meant him jumping on a plane the very next day. He wrote back and said he was flattered and intrigued, but that he didn’t think he could do it. “Okay, no worries! If you change your mind, let me know.” I then went on with my weekend.

A few days later I was driving and revisited my “Most Romantic Weekend EVER!” manifestation. Undaunted by my seeming misses, I focused on feeling the excitement of having something spectacular to look forward to, and saw myself mouthing, “YES YES YES! Thank you, Universe, thank you!” to the sky. I was smiling and giddy. I could feel my manifestation coming true!

An hour later when I arrived home, the guy I’d had a crush on emailed. He had a change of heart and wondered if my offer was still valid, only this time for Labor Day Weekend. Without missing a beat, I stopped reading his email, felt a big smile stretch across my face, looked up at my ceiling and began excitedly saying, “OH MY GOD, THANK YOU, UNIVERSE! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

And the rest, as they say, is history.

So that story being told, these are my secrets for how I’m able to manifest absolutely anything:

1. I honestly believe everything is possible.

2. I focus only on the wow’s I want to create, and leave the how’s for the universe to figure out (thank you, Mike Dooley). In the example above, you can see just how well that served me. I had no idea how I was going to create the most romantic weekend imaginable for myself, but I knew what doing so would feel like when it transpired. Lucky for me and everyone here, the Universe is all about the how’s, so we don’t have to be!

3. When manifesting something, I both visualize what I want, but more importantly I FEEL how excited I’ll be when it comes true. Feeling, as it turns out, is like throwing gasoline on a fire: it ignites the process of manifesting and draws what we want to us faster.

3a. When I’ve stayed in that feeling space for five or ten seconds, I then “let go and let God.”

4. I dream in broad strokes because I’ve learned that the Universe knows better than I what will truly make me giddy.

4a.  Example: In the story above, I could have manifested using only that which I knew, aka, the one guy I loved in the Middle East. In order to get my romantic weekend, my manifestation might have then looked something like this, “Universe, please let Alan come home for a surprise visit over Labor Day Weekend and let us have a wonderfully fantastic time together filled with romance, joy and fun!” Now, the trouble with that scenario is that I would have immediately limited the Universe in its ability to deliver me the best possible outcome because I would have already told the Universe how to do its job. I know lots of people who manifest in this fashion and then wonder why their lives aren’t more magical. The method I chose to use, however, left things open and let the Universe send me just the right guy to make my dreams come true. I’ve found it’s like that with anything we want to manifest. For instance, do we want a raise at work in order to become wealthier, or do we want to become wealthy beyond our fondest dreams in whatever good & balanced way the Universe dreams up for us? The former assumes that our current job is the only way to become wealthy. The latter makes way for miracles we wouldn’t have known to ask for, like winning a contest or lottery, or being gifted a large sum of money out of the blue.

5. In most cases, I stay flexible with timing. So if something doesn’t manifest exactly when I want it to, I maintain faith that the Universe’s timing is perfect and when my wish does come true, it will be beyond my fondest dreams.

In the past four or five years I’ve manifested some pretty awesome things, including a near-million dollar job offer, trips to exotic places, dream jobs, friendships, speaking on the radio, and more. Still, though, my favorite daily manifestation is simply “I am living my BEST LIFE EVER!”

And truly, I am.

So, what would you like to manifest today?
Much peace,

    Hi Joy, I think you already know what I’m manifesting. Crikey, there’s my phone . . . “Hello . . . Hi Deepak . . . Yes, Ellen rang me too . . . What are you wearing . . . I thought I’d go with downunder casaul . . . Dinner with Wayne Dwyer after? . . . Sounds good mate . . . Yes my diary’s full, but I can squeeze California in September . . . “

    • #6 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 6, 2010 - 6:41 pm

      Hi, Simon!

I think I saw a promo for you on Ellen’s show — bring it on, baby! Saying YES to life and all things IMMENSE!

Loving you lots, and appreciating all you do in this world.

Wow, wow and wow. I love how you make this easy!! Especially love how you fill in excitement and wowness into your manifestation. Thank you so much for showing the way. Love it.

    • #8 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 6, 2010 - 6:40 pm

      Hi, Uzma!

Thank you so much, and YES YES YES to the excitement and wowness factors. Emotion is so important when manifesting, but really it’s that excitement — that “I can’t believe this is happening!!!!!!!!” feeling — that seals the deal.

I had another example of it happen this past weekend, and I thought, “My GOD… life just doesn’t get any better than this!”

Much love & joy to you always!
      Megan

    Dear Royal One,
So…guess what I’m reading right now (well…not “right” now…that would be your very awesome words here on this page!). The book I’m reading – “Manifesting Change”, by Mike Dooley!! (great stuff, by the way)

Megan!!! I love it!! I love how you so openly embrace what IS possible! And…without the limitations of “how”… That’s not it though – it’s how you’ve opened up and shared a very personal experience here – and how much more it was than had you limited your thoughts.

    Joy,
…month of magic…mmmm…..having you and Megan share words here together…that’s all sorts of magical (and wonderful and lovely and beautiful and wowsers!!!)

    • #10 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 6, 2010 - 6:29 pm

      Hi, Lance!

Thank you for sharing your great energy here. I am eager to hear how you’re enjoying Mike Dooley’s book! He’s certainly someone who knows a thing or two about manifesting.

And I’ll tell you what, when I eliminated “how” thinking from my mind, the Universe opened the floodgates and made everything possible. All I ever need to do now is dream, “What magic shall we create today?” And the magic then appears. (smile)

      Love to you, wonderful friend!

    Hi Joy and Megan,

Adore this post! It’s about opening your heart to possibilities. Megan, the action you took to ask your crush out for a visit – required you to take a chance on yourself. I can’t tell you how many times in my twenties I SHUT the door to love – I see now looking back that it was just fear of having that love.

Best wishes for your adventures with the man you manifested!

    Giulietta

    • #12 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 6, 2010 - 6:31 pm

      Hi, Giulietta!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts here, and adding such beautiful energy to an already beautiful blog. I did say “YES” to myself – you’re right! I opened up to that particular area of manifesting, which previously I’d been safeguarding. I could manifest money, things, friends, trips, and more… But love and romance seemed like things for another day. That’s no longer the case!
Wishing you the very best always,
      Megan

Hi Joy and Evelyn! I also read Mike Dooley and I follow similar approach to manifestation. It’s always great to hear about others implementing these principles and what they’ve accomplished. This process is a lot of fun and interesting way to enjoy life and its blessings.
Thanks for sharing this approach with us. Loving blessings!

    • #14 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 6, 2010 - 6:33 pm

      Hi, Andrea!

I agree – it is FUN! That’s what my life is about these days and it’s incredible to really capitalize on that fun and see what comes next as a result.
Much love & happiness to you always!
      Megan

Great post. Reminded me of something someone said in a eulogy– “To him, life was a lover.” How inspiring to be in love with our lives. To meet our life with anticipation, excitement, passion. To look forward to being with our lives. To know that everything is working for our good. All we have to do is show up!

    • #16 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 6, 2010 - 6:33 pm

      Hi, Galen!

Amen. I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Here’s to a life of love and all things enjoyable!

  9. #17 by Betsy at Zen Mama on December 6, 2010 - 10:26 am

Great post! I truly believe in manifesting. It seems that when the timing is right and my mindset is calm, amazing things happen. Yes, I get out of the “mode” and then get frustrated. Thanks for the good advice about how to get back on track.

By the way, Megan, I’m wondering…How was your Labor Day Weekend?

    • #18 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 6, 2010 - 6:36 pm

      Hi, Betsy!

I’ve fallen off track to, at times; I think that’s what makes being human so luscious. When I remember my magical abilities, though, my life switches in an instant!

Ooh, and you’re so sweet to ask about Labor Day — it was so far beyond my fondest dreams that I was glowing for weeks afterward. (smile) I couldn’t have known to ask for everything that happened (romance like I’d only seen in books and movies), yet the Universe knew and heard my heart whispers. And as a result, my paradigm around love & relationships was forever altered.

Wishing you a lifetime of abundance, joy, good health and love!
      Megan

    Hi Joy and Megan!

What a perfect post for a most magical month!

Joy, Megan really is a master manifester! I have been in awe of her manifesting ability since I first knew her, and this story makes me light up with many smiles, as I think….”yup, this is Megan!”

Megan – thank you for sharing this story and your wisdom and love, here in Joy’s beautiful space!

You both are an amazing inspiration 😀

      Hi, Evita!

Thank you so much, my lovely friend! I am honored to read your words here, and touched that you – someone who is also incredibly powerful and inspires me daily – would say the things she said. (smile)

We are goddesses, and guess what? It’s the year of the goddess, and a month of magic, and we may live lifetimes of “everything’s possible” from this point forward!

      Huzzah!

      So much love to you,
      Megan

    Hi Megan!!

Your manifesting story sounds so much like mine. I manifested my husband by simply writing down “I want to be in a healthy, fun, passionate, romantic, long term relationship with the right man.” No joke, six weeks later he emailed me and the rest is history 🙂

I also like what you wrote, “create the wows” – nodding my head in vigorous agreement. And it’s just this reminder that I needed to create yet another WOW in my life!

    Thank you both!

    Peggy

Beautiful Zeenat! Oh gosh, how I want to probe you more about about your single days (and I said to myself after reading your comment, “like attracts like – we’re all spicy underneath, aren’t we?!). I’ve been saying “yes” to life in big ways since August, and am just amazed — constantly amazed — at the greatness that shows up. I love that you share in the magical manifesting abilities!

Thank you for spreading your love, joy and humor here; it’s like sunshine on a snowy day (and every day has been snowy here since December began). And YES to visiting you in India! I’m bringing Joy with me, though – is that okay?! (She’ll be my guide, as she’s the super adventurous one who boldly goes where I may only dream of going!)

      Love you, Z!

Joy assisted me in manifesting a puppy I did not know I wanted and he is perfect and lovely energy enhancing and cute and not what I thought I was going for at all…and I am a million time happier than I thought because when I greet him in the morning – who could possibly want for more smiles, wiggles and love than pours out of the crate.

…and I just know my blog will be fine and amazing while I take a few days to just enjoy this wee cutie — What me worry? no way 🙂

    Great post…good stories

    • #28 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 8, 2010 - 10:19 pm

Oh Patricia! A puppy — how wonderful! Unconditional, unabashed love and joy, and at such a perfect time (close to Christmas). Celebrate all the love and joy that puppy brings you and yes, your blog will not only be fine, but will thrive because your loving energy is always there, even when you cannot be.

      Thank you, dear Patricia!

Wow, Joy and Megan, what a wonderful post! I enjoyed it very much. Visualization and affirmations work, I’m convinced.

I had a nice confirmation of that about a year ago when I was cleaning out my “dreamkeeper,” a turquoise silk box where I’ve for years put in little slips of paper with present-tense affirmations of whatever I wanted to see in my life. I’d manifested so many of these wishes and not even realized it sometimes! Near the bottom I found a square of paper where I affirmed that I had met my ideal man — kind, brilliant, funny, creative, child-friendly, nature-loving, liberal, adventurous, bilingual, well-read, European, dark-haired, tall. At the time I hadn’t dated for about three years and was despairing of ever meeting a good match for me, so the exercise felt a little ridiculous and I did it a bit flippantly, putting in every detail I could think of that mattered to me. I didn’t ask for much, did I?

Except that now, several years later, I am married to exactly that man. We just passed our one-year anniversary a few days ago, actually. 😉

    • #30 by Megan "JoyGirl!" Bord on December 8, 2010 - 10:20 pm

      Hi, Meredith!

What a brilliant story and shining example of how manifestation works. Thank you! Thank you!

And happy anniversary to you and your “ideal man!”
Wishing you a lifetime of love, joy, abundance and perfect health together.
